Or it could be uichi himself from other timeline, like reverse flash.
You kinda lost me there... Why would someone want to hurt their past selves to the point of suicide and mental breakdown? If you hate yourself, you take care of it in the present, why go through so much trouble as if to invent time travel? , it's clearly not to save anyone since no single person comes out better after clover did things, vengeance isn't a factor either unless we're talking split personas or something.

Not the dumbass sister who, after getting a job she enjoys that she immediately ditches, falls for a lover boy scam and loses her brother's college fund, and then immediately plays victim not even bothering to think of how to recover the funds herself?

The dad is a dumbass and emotionally hollow, but he didn't cause the crisis.
The dad wants the best but has no emotional or situational intelligence. The sister is plain lazy, selfish and cruel. "Father" is at bare minimum being a breadwinner which is not enough but it is still better then sisters destructive behavior

I'm always amazed by how many people constantly want to defend Utako. Even now she still deflecting and trying to run away. The grooming and collapse of her family may have warped her upbringing, but even at the end of this confrontation she was still giving herself an out by saying "if" and "might." I'm still fairly convinced that she won't face reality without being completely and utterly cornered.

First, what we know about Clover:

  • C knows personal info (phone numbers or aliases) of the family and classmates of the MC.
  • C has fresh information on events and can react within minutes or hours.
  • C is dedicated to destroying the MC.
There are four possibilities for Clover:

  1. An unknown person to us at this time: Unlikely if C can have so much information so fast; he must be present.
  2. A classmate: Could have a lot of information and maybe information on the sister through social networks, but none of them countered the FC during the school arc.
  3. A family member: Could have access to a lot of information and means of action, but the mother is not in a state to be able to have a plan. If the sister was able to do it, she would have made schemes that benefit her more directly. The father is a good candidate, maintaining the family in a poor state to present himself as a good man.
  4. The FC: Not the actual MC but either a split personality or the original timeline one: She had access to every person for a long time and gathered information without arousing suspicion. The reason: The yandere version, isolating the MC to grab him when he is most fragile and ensuring she can capture him and keep him in a state of dependence. Remember, the FC is an orphan; she could have developed a fixation on the nice MC and has more reason to destroy the family who made him so different from her.
After his death, the FC could have despaired to the point of creating another persona who doesn't remember being the cause of his despair. This persona rewinds time to change it or has delved so deep into madness that she is just dreaming this life. It would explain the time travel.

It's my theory from a long time : https://forums.mangadex.org/threads...-vol-3-ch-22-puppeteer.2179296/#post-25434642
Well if we take the sisters future into account she was supposed to get catfished way later. So clover didn't know about the money yet. I think that cuts out a family member.

I wonder if Clover is actually maybe also a person trying to help get the "perfect ending". Since the events lead up to this revelations that havent happen before, I wonder if that person is trying to also set up the ideal situation for everyone involved. Just have to play the bad guy to help push things along.

Holy damn, the dad really didn't do anything, the fact that he didn't have a self realization here, like damn he's actually the worse

I wonder if that clover guy is actually Yotsuha. It's too weird for that guy to know what happen right away, and that guy already planning something since Uichi is still a kid making it less sense to be someone around this time.

Since time travel element exist, there's a chance it's her from another timeline.
Or if we don't think about time travel stuff, maybe it actually her but she just has double personality.
My theory is she mentally suffer from Uichi's death, and her brain protecting her by making another personality, one protecting him, one hurting him, and it become a loop where her time power upgrade and turn back time to become the enemy of herself

With many cases of abuse survivors, yeah, it takes a lot to help them stand up for themselves but the change was always palpable when they finally managed to. Much of abuse was really just power play, i.e., a game of influence. The moment the abuser loses this footing, they couldn't go forward with it.

The problem was really the kind of influence the abuser uses, and some could be really difficult to escape or topple. Uichi was very lucky that he not only has a very strong pillar of mental support, but he himself was plenty resilient to begin with and his family's power over him was mainly based on guilt, which can be circumvented with a little thinking.
