Despite the tragic nature of this Manga I think a lot of (japanese) storyteller could learn from it for one thing, CARROT AND STICK, is not a constant slide downward toward misery.

Also, they are more comfortable together than a lot of couples are in Manga (looking at you Dress up Darling).

Take that lighter but still dramatic Manga of the guy who leaves the abusive GF, despite the drama being nothing like this one, it has just been stick and stick, no victory, no nice moments for our MC (unless it happened in the last chapter or so).

ya know what.....i like that the mother is somewhat acknowledging that its better for the MC to move away for a while....shes finally realizing that she might regress with him around in her current state...honestly she was the only one who deserved an inkling of redemption...the sister was just lazy and the father...oof...dont get me started on him...i still want to just punch him in the face

I think the Sister derserves redemption too honestly. What happened to to her is seriously fucked up. She was groomed, and gaslight as a child into becoming a shut-in. Her life is basically ruined. I appreciate she's insanely selfish, but I can't help feeling bad.
So far, the dad doesn't but we'll see if that changes, when we learn more about him.

Only way Dad redeems himself is PAYING for all his actions going forward, His enabling only made it EASIER to gaslight and groom the sister, and of course all lead to Mother downward spiralling! In the end when he had a moment to STEP UP, he instead put ATTENTION on MC "saving them all" when THAT'S HIS FUCKING JOB!!!! Only hope I see for him is Sister moving out, Mom divorcing him and MC staying away till University starts! Once he lost his family to his delusion and laziness will be when he HAS NO CHOICE put to see what he did wrong and work on changing, or double down and be left out when the other three FINALLY are able to get back together and he's not with them just to SIGNAL his failure as a husband AND father!! Especially if MOM becomes a MILF because she's no longer STRESSED out and SPIRALLING, Sister has made something of herself and FINALLY values hard work "without him enabling" (and finally cutting off Clover) and MC reached his DREAM "NO THANS TO HIM!" Those will be FATAL to his ego because he'll have to acknowledge he DID nothing, he WAS nothing! Either CHANGE and accept responsibility for his part, or fuck off and let them be a FAMILY "Without him IN IT!"

Thing is when you look at it, had he STEPPED UP AT ANY POINT during all this, the family wouldn't be in this state, if he had STOPPED enabling the sister by giving her money for nothing, she wouldn't have stayed under Clover's control this long, this had the effect of making her disobedient which ended up negatively effecting the mother AND MC! That's why I see Mom becoming a MILF later on after some HEALING, and the fact this happened AFTER dumping his ass will make it even HARDER for him to deluded himself that he was worthless after all!

Writer has a HATE BONER for Delusion people it seems! As father and Yae are the BIGGEST HATE SINKS in the story! And I'm SURE Clover will be the MOST DELUSIONAL of them all!
