Actual Queen Slay.
But...he said it
"I wish I could rewind time"
Something tells me, the Mastermind Behind Yae Yamato also has a time rewind clock.

The actual Yoshikage Kira of this series

"We could've been friends but you had to ruin it yourself."

Dang, that hurt. I mean, I also don't have friends but that's because I'm a loner, not a psychopath.

Do teachers just not exist in these stories?
Do teachers do anything for actual bullying? Let’s be real, them not being present is the reason anything is being done. They’d sooner read the boy’s eulogy than possibly tarnish their and the school’s rep with a potential scandal getting out

A lot of the time no, of course. If this was real life, though, the teacher would cut their Phoenix Wright trial short because they don't give a shit and these lil bastards need to learn how to derive the angle of a slope by the end of the day.

LOL, Japanese teachers are known for not giving a shit about bullying, either because they have little rights and could become targets themselves (Why Japan has so many movies about it), or because they just don’t care.

Like that case in Hokkaido where a student was sexually bullied really badly for several months by senpais, even hung upside down naked in the bathroom, and other stuff, which some teachers witnessed and did NOTHING about, not even report it to the school board. Or the infamous 14-year-old Saaya Hirose case who ended killing herself, which, as cruel as it was, the entire board was aware of, and yet they did nothing about it, confirmed by the chairman himself.

And that’s just two fairly recent cases.
Whenever you read a manga with bullying and see a teacher solving the situation, you can find Japanese comments saying shit like "Bullshit, the teacher wouldn’t do anything in real life!"
Yeah, I've just done a google on this and you are indeed correct! Called "Ijime" in Japan, and it is a real problem. Try this article for starters...

Kinda find it funny that Yae could have been more successful if he was proactive in bullying Uichi in middle school, instead of pretending to be his friend (when he clearly despised him and probably only pretended to care for him cause Clover told him to in order to keep appearances). Seems like the middle schoolers really wanted Uichi dead for the "funnies" for some reason, while in high school his new peers seem horrified by that concept and are disgusted with Yae for wanting that.

Wonder if Yotusha would have considered either trying to help Yae with his issues if she could (and want to) rewind time to her elementary school days, or just not interact with Yae at all since Yae being attached to her was the start of his madness.

Also Yae kinda gives me Kaigaku vibes, a really detestable human who is tragic cause of how much waste of potential they are. For all of Yae's complaints he had nothing and would be nothing without his crush, he wasn't. He was respected by most of his peers despite his failings and distance from them. He had friends who though he cared for them back instead of how he actually saw them as possessions or obstacles. He could have worked his way out of poverty. Due to his possessiveness, selfishness, idiocy and cruelty, he has no love, no friends, no respect, and no will to live.
