So far the minotaur is not the bad guy here, he literally is just minding his own business, hasn't killed innocents, the people that he has killed were in self-defense since pretty much they are the ones going after him to kill him and not the other way around because although he can leave the labyrinth he hasn't done it yet. It happened in the novel. The minotaur became a side character starting on volume 2 and the new MC is Panzel's son (there'll be a big time skip shortly). Let's wait and see if they'll do this in the manga as well. I honestly hope they just end the manga with the ending of volume 1, which is approaching.
