Heki is just a regular, reasonably skilled guy in the company of unreasonable manga-tier competent badasses. He's basically the Usopp of Kingdom. He has a mind for tactics, courage, loyalty, and the respect and admiration of his men. Hell, even the mountain clans respect him, and he's just a regular guy. Were this world not populated by meaty man mountains capable of bisecting two dozen armored dudes with a single swing of their glaives, and clairvoyant 5D chess demigods like Riboku, he'd be a great general by now.
