whats kinda wild is iirc by the end of the coalition arc Shin got promoted to 3000 man commander, same rank as Heki. the fact that Heki is a general by this point would suggest he managed to achieve more than the Hi Shin unit (+Kyoukai) in 2 years

Heki likely was promoted to a 4000 man commander after the war. He also comes from an affluent family and is a vassal to Sho Bun Kun. It is not unusual that he would climb the ranks quickly, especially since his military achievements represent the King’s faction.
