Well if they go by history Riboku is supposed to be killed on the kings orders, so yeah I don't expect Shin to kill him either
but that doesn't mean I don't want to see him dead already.

I actually like Houken. This is a relatively uncomplicated character in an arena of geniuses, generals, lords, and kings. And yet he's one of the biggest fuck-yous available. He lives to fight, and this blood-soaked era where millions are slaughtered out of hand is his to grow closer to the concept of divinity-by-blade.

Everyone else is out to become a great general or a king. Houken's trying to become a god.

And he'll die here for it, but I imagine it will be amazing.

@SierraF466 I feel you. This is one of those manga that lets me feel attached to the side characters no matter how small their airtime may be, especially those who were around since the beginning and knows the MC very well. They are like family and it makes me feel sad to eventually lose any of them but oh well, it's part if the plot. It is just that good of a story.

tl;dr: If you think about eventually learning that Phil died from The Promised Neverland, that is what I meant.

Houken is fine, I just wish he would actually somehow develop past his first butthurt from being beaten by late general Big Lips. I want more Batei because he is just more fun. He and his friend and lord Kisui are these super powerful monsters of men but they are different from like 99% of other characters since they just want to protect their homeland and couldn't care less about the whole dick swinging contest other characters engage into.

Also, people being mad at Riboku for some of his strategies involving Houken are just hypocrites. "Good" guys' and historically best general evar Ousen is supposed to be this genius of warfare but he would have lost this battle ten times if not for his Plot armored subordinates like Shin the MC and his crew, Mouten and the Spear Asshole. I mean, Mouten at least is this elusive dick that stabs Zhao soldiers in their genitals and retreats. Shin and Spear Asshole are the standard Immortal Zombies that couldn't care less about how little they've eaten in the last few days or the fact that they are full of holes that should make them bloodless. So what's so unfair about another historically best general of their era using a super-powered dude like Houken to tip the odds in his favor?

I just realized something, most of the hate toward Riboku actually because he employed Houken rather than people hating his characters, though that is no small group either, Seem like Houken is hated to the point where people hate all those on his side as well

@dragon1412 people dislike houken because at this point hes not even a character anymore hes just a plot device. Its a shame since he could be interesting but now hes just a deus ex machina.

People dislike Rbokus character because he is described as a genius tactician but it is mostly ""rumors"". Here, he dosnt show any tactical genius for example. Hes just using a plot device.
