Ngl this is probably one of the most heartbreaking chapter in this manga. You can see how important of a figure Shin is to his unit. And just the notion of him being dead broke everyone in his unit. Even if we know that Shin probably has plot armor, the breakdown of his men feel real. Especially to those that has been with him since his foot soldier days. And something to note, his men are mostly militia. for militia men to have this kind of loyalty is unreal.
