I kinda feel sad for Riboku. The king in his arrogance and fear pulled him back from the battlefield and instead of focusing on solving problems, he is just giving out punishments and holes up in his castle. He hasn't been supporting Riboku and his troops as well as Sei did with his own army.
And even despite this, Riboku still thinks of how to save his nation, not caring that he was going to be punished because... what? He was outsmarted for once. It's sad when such a capable man has no trust in his abilities by his superiors. I mean, he had but not right now. He is degraded to a politican pawn.
Tsk, tsk. Tragic.
Anyway, now that he is out of the picture, it's a relief for Quin. Hopefully we can advance without as many casualties as before. Soon, the Quin army will be banging on the doors of Kantan! If there's any indication how soon it would be for us, readers, probably another year or two 😂
