When I first read the interview I was confused, then I thought is Kino the one lying or not. Apparently it’s like 80% edited. Well, the truth is too harsh.

I am surprised Kino is actually honest about her backstory. I have always been wondering about the traveler and master so I am happy we get quite a lot of information about them. Although it’s kinda sad about the traveler’s mother.

I've read a bunch of the alt-mangas, parts of the LN (up until the ship crossing with the other Traveler with the dog) and the animes, but I think this might be the first ever mention that our Kino met with the original's mom, but this was all years ago so I could be mistaken on what was covered

Because the anime and mangas covers different and random points of the LN, not all of Kino no Tabi is well known, as it depends on the publisher's guidelines. The other medium is "Kino no Tabi: Nanika wo Suru Tame ni- Life Goes On". The LN chapters are Volume 7s a and b side, -Life Goes On-

It has also occurred to me that I should have checked the official LN translation for the chapter name. -Land with an Interview- sounds way nicer.

Well, it’s just based on what we already know from the previous chapters, and so far what she said match. I only read the manga so maybe I am wrong

Umm... No. The chapter is pretty self-explanatory. Basically Kino's story is dark and fked up, so the guy puts together his own version.

One major gripe I have with this series is aside from Kino it legit feels like every character in this world has like one single brain cell, with practically everyone all too eager to die, or all too eager to kill. Between Kino killing original Kino's mom, and other story events like that town getting wiped out by the volcano or whatever, and everyone basically did the "this is fine" meme, doing nothing while them and their kids all died. There's also that one town where by majority vote everyone was killing each other, down to just one single man, who thought nothing of it until Kino said her piece.
