@Volttekka - Optical Character Recognition, it's when the program gets served a picture and creates a text file out of what letters are on the picture. (And apparently some places use it so they can have their script remove any pages that say, for example, mangadex.org)

(It would seem to me that such a script would have bigger problems with weird spacing than handwriting, like "man gad ex. com", but I'm not a computer scientist)
