Unfortunate that it got axed. I can't say as that I'm exceptionally shocked or devastated, but it was enjoyable for itself. Just a "mindless" fun read. There are times I would say manga like this are preferable to the "intense" "complicated" or "compelling" ones that last 100 chapters past where they should because they're profitable; but then again, it's also not my revenue stream. Admitting ignorance, I wonder how the process works; that is to say, do they hang on until the last moment to make a decision(perhaps hoping for a rebound), giving an author little to no time for even a mildly satisfactory conclusion, or can they make a decision earlier(perhaps negatively impacting quality through motivation). Either way, axed typically equals poor rushed ending, unfortunately.
