I guess she had really expected that "a princess being married off as a magician and being taught magic will of course have magic" - so ending up in a zero mana body was a complete disaster for her no matter what the other perks might have been..

Level 20 Wizard body swapped with a lvl 2 Noble and didn't realize they were also exchanging class levels.

Also just because I haven't seen anyone else mentioning it, the body swap put Marietta in a tiny room that had no doors. If she didn't happen to have studied random forms of magic as a hobby, she would have simply died there with no way out. She may have had some kind of justification for hating the townsfolk (we don't know yet if she did, but someone branded her face), but she was fully willing to kill an entirely innocent person in a pretty horrific way. So her new situation is nothing short of a face full of karma.
