It's one of my most hated pet peeves- when people create hierarchies to justify treating other people as lesser than! Every time I was on the receiving end of that kind of thing, in grade school or in the workplace, it made my blood boil. And every time I realize I was doing that kind of thing to others, I feel deeply ashamed.
