I dont know why japanese authors keep doing this, just enough to make them friends or notice their feelings to each other and thats it. Like just continue it 5 chapters more why r you doing this like edging us. It was going nice enough to give it a 10 but ill give 7 or 8 now just bc its unfinished. They were already friends at chapter 2 so not making it clear until the end and finishing it with being friends really a sad setback. Korean authors rarely do japanese like romance stories (aside from villainess or isekai types) but they never finish it like this. Thats the difference i guess, i especially enjoy some romance manhwas (for example: the secret of the partner next to you). I dont mean that japanese authors are bad but when they make a short story they tend to make it too short and finish it just at the friendship like a prologue... But there are examples like "Is Chihara-san A Landmine?" That still continuing romance with 80+ chapters but these types mostly focus on comedy so its really long to reach them dating and it will finish there. i know im complaining but i just feel like these authors are butchering their precious work and i cant understand why. Most of the unfinished stories just needs a couple of chapters even 1 rushed chapter can change the ending completely but they dont choose to do it.
