The ending is not bad, it just took a different route that I wasn’t expecting, especially with it finishing this early. I genuinely thought this was gonna last for around 50+ chapters.

Honestly, I dont think its a bad ending. Shes just confused with her feelings as all of those events were very new to her and she want to reassure her own feelings before accepting his confession, and still willing to take a small step further in their relationship. Tho, I do understand everyone's disappointment as this is a rom-com.

What a sad ending. Satou confesses, but Kisaragi-san feels it's not time. That's ok, but the fact she asks to be friends is a bit hurtful. Satou has had feelings for her for a long time, and he's the one who pursued her. Yet she felt the need to ask him to be her friend, despite how close they became, and how many things they did together. Now that's just painful. But Satou was understanding of that, at least. They were willing to get to dating, but not immediately.

I wish this had a better ending, the previous chapters were already ok. This is a sudden jarring shift in direction. Man, I hope this gets a continuation someday. 17 chapters is not enough.

Confession response isn't as bad as people are making out, it's a very understandable reaction.

To have it end without more chapters leading up to a true confession/response is absolutely brutal. Idk why so many really enjoyable romcoms are getting slammed with clear axings/early endings.

Man, with how some of these reactions are you'd think the author was going around personally shitting on peoples' desks.

It's an unsatisfying ending, for sure, but it's not that bad. There should also be that one last extra chapter that might leave off on a more satisfying note, so I say at least wait till that releases before condemning the entire manga.

This would've been a good and somewhat realistic ending if they didn't include the part where Kisaragi still doesn't considered Satou as her friend yet. That means, all of their interactions before are just in a "acquaintance" level.
If they can't help with this getting axed, then they should've kept their friendship early on until it grow more than just friends instead of "starting as friends".
Overall, It was a good read nonetheless, but got unsatisfied conclusion.

Plus the answers she gave were valid if it were in the beginning or middle but to be at the end?? 😭
