Im defn gonna need a reread, but based on this chapter alone and from what small things i remember, i agree with mc's judgement

but i might also just be biased since i like characters coming from a bad environment and being easily unlikeable/misunderstood to actually be somewhat decent

I mean, it was pretty obvious that all the perpetrators had little ill-intent (aside from the obviously criminal action of the kidnapping). It was the goofiest kidnapping ever.
