I think we're supposed to take away from this the (not so) subtle differences between how he treated her and how the others did, and the fact that she accepted him because of his gentleness.

I still agree it does kinda undermine it, but I also get the point of why we're supposed to like him, but hate the two teachers that she got fired. Not something I generally approve of, but I accept it for at least showing the girl's emotional scars with respect to sex being healed by being treated like a fellow human and a partner in sex, not a sex object to be used and discarded. And it's probably important to the concept that it was another teacher to help her feel good with sex so it directly addressed her past trauma. Having a positive experience to override bad experiences.

Anyway, I feel like it's not so much penis wants so much as... it's still porn/hentai, and only two characters really got focus (everyone else being background), so those two characters were going to end up doing it. An aspect of porn logic, I believe.

Edit: Hm... looking over my arguments and the work itself, I feel like it's a mistake to assume it was meant to address the idea of student-teacher relationships being 'bad', but to focus more on the rape vs caring sex aspect, using relations with teachers as the vehicle for the issue.

The story even highlights this with the main character girl's internal narration, as she hates those two rapist teachers she got fired, but grows to adore this new teacher after the confrontation and realizing he's legitimately a nice guy. How she looked at all men as 'apes' that'll just ravage girls for their own satisfaction, but the male lead she got paired with treated her as if her feelings are what mattered most, and would even stop short of satisfying himself to suggest ending things there, since she had already learned how good sex can feel by orgasming for the first time.


tl;dr Main character girl dealt with teachers in the past who ignored her desires to satisfy themselves (rape trauma), while the male lead teacher focused on the main character's desires and feelings (potentially at the expense of himself), easing trauma while showing sex can be enjoyable for both parties when done right. Don't generally agree with 'relations with teachers' stuff, but I appreciate what the story did with it.
