Besides the obvious need for hubby when wifey is wet, considering how freaked out she was and cried for 2 hours pretty much explains it.

As someone pointed out, last time she fell into water she almost died. Its a safe bet to say she was just barely keeping it together as to not worry the youngsters around her (she is around 300 after all). Yuri probably noticed something was wrong and couldnt really communicate with a fox so best choice was to call for help. Who can better help to communicate with full beast fox wife than her husband!
