The thing is, I can easily see the fiance killing herself out of guilt after her fianceé gets killed. Husbando is clearly trying for that "No deaths" achievement in resolving this conflict.

@SuperRobotSolo Bruh, it called revenge. Of course her action NOW is not right, legally. But say the the fault come from by both like @BP called is straight up wrong.
Her action may not the right mortality, but revenge is understandable. She have no way to prove the guy is guilty, Knowing someone did terrible thing to you (and gonna do it again) and get a way, it is not a easy to just walk way like nothing happen. And this is someone you think is your dear one. Dude, imagine the shock

What a lame, annoying and childish schpiel from this guy. Dude gets enough of an explanation that gives him enough information to ask the question "Wait, what is actually going on here, am I in the wrong, there might actually be more here happening than I know" and he immediately goes for childish and completely subjective platitudes.

I dunno about anyone else, but if someone tried to get me raped and fed to a monster, and I didn't have capability to actually do something about it, I wouldn't have much of a problem having someone who could do something, actually do something. Dude also presumes to know the psychology and motivations of a giant fucking ninja owl with almost nothing to base it on. These last two arcs are really dragging this series down.

Anyone still believe in Japan's absolute dogshit state of justice system should go read the case of Junko Furuta

>Japan won't press charge against someone unless it's 100% to be a guilty verdict
>it's not guaranteed to be guilty unless the suspect confess
>most cases that's not guaranteed, are likely to be dismissed
>even in case of successful prosecution, the criminal tends to got away with lighter sentence than it should

Latest example is the rapist/murderer Yasumasa Shibuya, who escaped even death sentence despite raped and murdered a 6yo girl. They even had hard time making him confess, despite finding Yasumasa's DNA on victim's body, as well as victim's DNA on Yasumasa's car.

@instant_noodle you do realize that he (Shibuya) still got a life sentence, right? And since when is "we couldn't get him to confess" an indictment of the court? The whole point of a trial is to determine guilt whether or not the accused confesses, because most criminals, in all countries, don't confess unless they'll get a lighter sentence out of it.

I wonder how husband would react if the victim was his wifey... Would he still try to talk the owl out of it by eating yakiniku? And he didn't even bother to listen the reason as to why the owl was after that guy, he just assumed that the owl liked to kill and eat (and he's probably right) BUT! animals usually kill when they're hungry, completely different to humans who kill just for the fun of it. In fewer words: the husband lost points with me 😒

@instant_noodle are you brain damaged? If not, then I have no idea how you could derive that from what I said.

In case you're brand new to the concept of laws, I'll break it down for you: all halfway-decent legal systems assume that those implementing them might be wrong sometimes. I.E., you don't just convict someone because a cop decided they're guilty; you hold a trial. You don't just immediately execute someone as soon as a court finds them guilty; you allow for appeals in case the court made a mistake. And in the case of life imprisonment instead of capital punishment, if there is any remaining room for doubt at all, you choose the sentence that could be undone if it turns out you convicted the wrong person while the real murderer is still at large. Because the reality of the matter (and not just the emotional knee-jerk reaction) is that laws are supposed to exist to protect the innocent, not to sate the bloodthirst of the vengeful (no matter how justified they feel). And life imprisonment is just as effective at keeping a criminal away from society as killing them is.

The fact that so many commentors think condemning vigilantism is "childish" instead of sane is disappointing, but not surprising.

@Swagner Yes, yes, let's do some personal attack to back up your statement like a civil gentleman.

In case you missed my last note, I'll point it out again for you:
>even in case of successful prosecution, the criminal tends to got away with lighter sentence than it should

So, in the case of Yasumasa Shibuya, you stated that "you do realize that he (Shibuya) still got a life sentence, right", which implying your stand point that is "life sentence will do enough justice in this case, and more severe punishment is not required". So, I ask of you, if that is your point, then that means you think kidnapping, raping and killing a 6yo kid doesn't deserve death sentence? Because if that's what you think then you can go eat a bag of dick. Piece of shits like you are the reason why the world is still full of fucking pedophiles.

@instant_noodle Don't act like accusing others of defending pedophiles and then telling people to "eat a bag of dicks" when they call you out is "gentlemanly" behavior. For Christ's sake, it's like you didn't even read my post because you were too busy stroking your indignation boner.

In no place did I say that pedophiles don't deserve death, in case that still didn't make it through your skull. What I said was that "justice" systems tend toward incompetence and that it's not worth greasing the wheels with the blood of the innocent when they inevitably cock it up. Again, the goal is to protect innocents, and that includes the falsely accused, even if that means having a criminal spend the rest of their life in a cell instead of getting it over with quickly. And do you know what tends to happen to pedophiles in prison? A taste of their own medicine is what, so don't go pretending that getting buttfucked the rest of their life instead of a quick lethal injection is "getting off easy".

@Swagner never once I called my behavior "gentlemanly" lmao you fucking pedophile sympathizer. Having to explain the joke is kinda rard, so pls go learn about sarcasm.

>And do you know what tends to happen to pedophiles in prison? A taste of their own medicine is what, so don't go pretending that getting buttfucked the rest of their life instead of a quick lethal injection is "getting off easy".
Well how about you present a piece of documented record to prove that statement? Or you're gonna "well there's no evidence of that happened but heard people said that on leddit so it must be true because even in prison they have some gang code or shit like those movie right eh"? Or, presume, as you stated, pedo get buttfucked in prison, it's now ok for the justice system to let them get away lightly? Since other inmates will do the justice instead? Your fallacy is over the fucking top.

Tell me what happened with those criminal in the case of Junko Furuta? Did they get whatever the "taste of their own medicine"?

Good fucking lord, go choke on a big nice bag of fucking dicks Mr. pedophile sympathizer.

I understand that MC trying to act righteous. I understand that. But MC in this chapter is also extremely stupid. What if that ninja trying to kill a person who is going to commit a genocide but no one can stop him legally?
I mean to say that acting on basic assumptions without asking about why that ninja acting the way he is, isn't righteous, it is stupid.

honestly, owl ninja is pretty damn reasonable, all things considered. double checks the request to make sure he has it correct, carrying it out without prejudice, being willing to interact with people even that interfere with his job.

@KamiKira00
because if a demon eats a human, it's going to cause problems for all the demons that don't eat humans. like his wife

e: derp i just saw this is a 5 month old comment, sorry
