Why should he bother? He is not registering to sell potions, but to go into the dungeon. That does ot require selling potions. He knows that alchemists are looked down upon and doesn't prepare like high end potions to prove his worth? Seriously for such an "intelligent" MC he seems to constantly make dumb choices.
If anything the idiot is the sneaky guild manager who left his sneaky plans sitting on the front desk of a crowded room. Why should he bother? He is not registering to sell potions, but to go into the dungeon. That does ot require selling potions.
The most he should be rationally required or expected to prove is combat ability, which he kind of is prepared for btw just the jerk manager never bothered or cared to check that relying on his own prejudices.
That and in case you did not notice, and not noticing this requires haveing not actually read the story so far, the MC does not currently have the tools or materials for crafting those potions you are claiming he should have prepared. He is at the guild to get the resources to be able to make them.
That and having potions as proof of value would require an opportunity to demonstrate them, which the MC does not have here since the jerk manager goes right into a rant and it not properly listening the the MC just shouting to get his way.
Really the mental gymnastics some people jump through so they can call characters idiots... here is a tip if your justification relied on points that are nor actually valid or appropriate in the story, or rely in information is it not reasonable to for the character to have, but are simply how you would want to do things, not doing so does not make the character an idiot, and it says more about you then them.
After what you wrote I reread it all and yes I forgot the lack of potion making ability..... Until you know we have the whole he repaired the wagon with no tools part. He can make flames from his body, he deconstructs a tree and he has all elements of magic., he has his blood element and he's defeated multiple wolves easily. He could mention the Tanya whom he helped and get her to vouch. Theres lots that he could have done so while yes I concede I forgot about the potions part he has many other alchemy abilities that would have been very easy to prove his worth. Why should he bother? He is not registering to sell potions, but to go into the dungeon. That does ot require selling potions.
