I wonder if Momoko has realized that Momohana wouldn't have been able to sub for her (and by extension there would be no new generation of Maiko) if people like Mother didn't make personal sacrifices to carry on the traditions. Momoko has always been kind of self-centered, but maybe now she sees that it takes everyone working together to keep the world she loves alive.
