Kenta, there's no such thing as fucking up now.

Man, I love cooking, especially for family. It's the kind of motivation you don't even feel. Something primal makes you do the best you can or those you love, even when it's shit. Kenta has a seasoned mentor and a love that there is no greater; he will be fine in short time. I just hope he doesn't measure himself by Kiyo's standards.

Ain't nobody a Kiyo-chan but Kiyo. And if not my DMs are open for wife submissions.
To be honest, Kiyo's cooking is only on the standard of home-cooking. All of her dishes are ones that anyone can make at home. Her level is nowhere near an actual chef. Just from this chapter, we can see how complicated the process for the omelet sauce is. The ones Kenta measure himself by is his boss and his senpai.

Over Christmas I tried to make this exact argument to no avail while being designated Christmas Dinner Chef.
Not that I resent it at all, I love being the Christmas Dinner Guy, but cooking bulk on limited resources isn't like a professional kitchen. I'd rather be cooking on 4 gas hobs and 1 oven shelf than do what Kenta wants to do any day. Proper cooking is a real job.

1. It isn't "An Omelete Sauce" it's Demi Glace - it's sort of like going out of your way to home make ketchup, except you're also growing the fucking tomatoes. Most cooking is simply organization and the only difference between a restaurant chef and a good home cook like Kiyo is the amount of prep that needs to be done. Kiyo cooks for an entire dormitory of 10+ people serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and knows everyone's preferences.

That's a chef's skill.

2. I say this as someone who cooks that's fucking lot of demi glace, that shit has got to reduce by a half and they've got a whole stock pot of it
