I was just in Kyoto and it’s true, buses that run along big touristy sites like Kinkaku-ji are extremely difficult to get on and off of. I bet the locals have it pretty rough especially when they’re doing the day to day commute.

@Vmpslushie What deadly? The Japanese catch it every time they go into the rain without an umbrella, but they also get totally healed by just a couple of days of rest.

I hope someone makes Kiyo some rice gruel, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had to make it for herself. The maiko are kind of preoccupied with their busy life of training and work. The Mother ought to be more concerned about stopping the disease from spreading, as it would be, I imagine, a faux pas for a sick maiko to serve customers.
