Usually in these "perfect world hypnosis" situations, the one element that's "off" comes from the dreamer themselves, a core memory too deep to overwrite. But here, it's actually from the hypnotist: Goa's subconscious desire for honest friendship, manifesting as her childlike self, implanted into the dream. She put them under, but she'll wake them up.

Very good stuff!

I am getting "For the Man Who Has Everything" vibes. They will be ripping open from these fantasies in a painful but revelating manner.
Same. I think Superman had it the worst, he even had a kid. He was so angry after that dream was over.

Goa has a surprising amount of depth from this chapter alone, very cool.

Our child selves hold weight because it’s in some ways our best selves, and yet a version of us we can never touch again.

I do quite like that its Goa herself who is sort of trying to break them free. And that the hero is the one least likely to break free.

Is this some kind of Goa subconscious mixed with the dream incense illusion? Or she tries to wake the whole party Inception style?
