well yes if everything in them is like a kid, that got memories that he or she shouldn't posses, it would be okay, but way too often you see something that show at the beginning, that MC is (just for example) embarrassed/horny about breast feeding and next after this scene, that shows that the kid possesses mentality of at least a teenager or even adult, we will get MC that is mentally on the level of the kid, and strangely enough know about all the technical details as well as posses knowledge that usually only specialist in the field of the said knowledge posses.
i do agree that there are good novels that do job properly but way too often we see what i just talked about (/|\ ) and this is sometime really irritating when you see it, since it destroy the image that MC is just a child with adult memories and feels more like MC has some mental illness that forces him to be mentally a child forever.

Good stuff. Kid is way too damn smart though. That's not a negative, I'm just saying the wisdom is too damn high. That said, pretty much all of the antagonist, or generic bad guys, are damn idiots. How many times is a commoner going to attack a noble, a prince at that, in the middle of a crowd in broad fucking daylight? Even if these people didn't recognize the prince of their country, I mean it was 13 of them at one point so I get it, kid is clearly a noble and there is no chance you're getting away with it even if you succeed in attacking said noble.

"MC! You're AMAZING!" -- the manga.
There's just so much to say about this thing, but in the end of the day it's practically a wuxia clone. The MC is amazing, no matter what he does, and even if he's actually being clever -- literally anyone can be clever if every scene is written so they have the exact correct solution to make the most benefits.

I stopped reading when the MC killed an official, basically because he didn't like him. He used the law in a very specific way to straight up murder him on the spot.

It's so average.

Read up to chapter 26 and it settled into a concise formula. Each chapter something happens, MC appears, fixes the problem, "MC you're amazing!". Very rarely do we see something different happen, like for example in chapter 26 bandits attack him and the other prince (his brother), he defeats them and recruits them because woe is me, the famine, everything that is out of our control. It's such a tired trope, author does this every so often.

The start was nice, but it fell off really quickly. Since its an average story its good enough when you're bored, just don't expect too much.

Holy crap this is pretty terrible! The pacing is atrocious, the character designs are forgettable, the story is both common AND boring. The MC is a mess, being depicted as super smart but all of the solutions to his problems are with absurdly convenient items, people or laws and customs that only come up in time to solve his current problem. Only saving grace really is the art style, it ego strokes with the best shonen with none of the substance.

I am not sure "MC show up and fixes problems" is a critique. That is like the vast majority of stories in a nutshell. Problems happen, MC show up, MC fixed problem, the end. What matter is the detail, in this case, I enjoy the way he fixes problems. He doesn't wave magics around and shit got better. He leveraging his position, recruiting and delegating the right people, and playing the imperial politics very well. Yes, he is winning a lot, and I understand some people get bore if MC doesn't get their nut kick once in a while. But honestly, the world building is keeping me interested, not many manga put this much attention to the politic and government structure, and it is more interesting to see stupidly powerful things being use to maneuver within the system, rather than just smash it like in most story.
