I'm honestly confused why hes opting for regular panties, instead of deciding his female disguise is a tomboy or anything and choosing spats. He isn't aiming for a girly-girl, so is it hes afraid he won't trick them into thinking hes female if he goes as far as tomboy?

I'm sure we'll get the standard ending for gender bender stories where he decides hes actually a girl at heart, etc, but while hes still full in "I'm a man" wouldn't tomboy be more logical?

it's probably the Japanese culture of conformity. it makes it harder for people to do explore expressions beyond past girly girls and manly guys.
