Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon - Ch. 149 - Fafnir and Fenrir

There was lots of build-up for loki, starting from the revelations that there is a rank sustem among chaos dragons and that Shin doesn't look like the God that almost killed Tohru, but those were just long ago and peppered into other arcs. While up until now there were mostly short plotlines that fed into one another, this one is one that gathers from almost the brginning of the
story and includes side characters of all the cast members.
(People like Petla, Takiya, Shin and Fafnir having plot importance, as well as several dragons we've only recently met having spotlight, while Kobayashi and Tohru are completely "outside the plan").

What I'm trying to say, is this arc doesn't feel out of place when reading(re-reading?) from the beginning. Only so, from the perspective of prievious (Elma x Tohru and dragons of Order) arc.

I disagree. Nothing about the series ever hinted at a big tournament arc against Loki beforehand. Shin not looking like Loki doesn't really play into anything here either. I'll just say I disagree and I'm not a big fan of this arc and leave it there.
