Personally, I hope Lucoa remains firmly out of reach for Tohru for a very long time.

She should be at the peak of dragonkind before she starts challenging actual gods.

Gotta love Lucoa's sister's imagination. Excellent taste in yuri and lingerie.

I like the explanation of how Touru went down so easily. It wasn't an enormous power difference but rather smart application of power and misdirection.

bruh what

Tohru has always made it clear that she's not a lesbian in the sense she's into girls, she's attracted to specific individuals and has made it clear she doesn't care if Kobayashi's a dude and that it would be more convenient if she was.

Furthermore, the entire point of this chapter is that it's addressing the last few chapters with Lucoa's funk after the Tezca stuff, and addressing the literal prior chapter of Yutara
Ay man no offense but this is like the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen typed. Like imagine if I saw you kissing and rubbing all over dudes and never any women, and I proceeded to say “well he technically never said he was a homosexual, he could just be attracted to only certain dudes”. No offense tho of course.

For humans, sure. Gender doesn't seem to factor in to attraction for dragons, though. That's been a plot point several times in the series.

The fact that Lucoa's imagination with her and Tohru went that far.....
That's more like, her sister's imagination.
I dunno if she was doing that on purpose, or she genuinely believed things work that way (as she's shown to be way more sex-minded than Lucoa is).
Of course Cool couldn't help himself and had to ruin Tohru by drawing her with the shota. Also this manga is so all over the place. This chapter acts as if the last couple didn't happen.
IRL, people don't keep their mood constant for several days.

Ye, but Lucoa's not a determined fighter. Instead she's airheaded and constantly focuses on not using too much raw power, rather than worrying about the application. The only thing we saw her being serious, was when she was hunting the catgirl (in the flashback).

This isn't the real word though.

Dunno about airheaded. We see glimpses that Lucoa's the smartest out of the dragons. I suspect the carefree lifestyle and "airheadedness" we see is a mask of sorts.

The god she's based on and the backstory given in the manga both show that she was very intelligent. I think she realizes how much power she has and is terrified of screwing things up again.

It's kinda funny that the shotacon fan service character has the deepest personality..

I don't care who is in love with who, I want to see them all having sex with each other equally.

You are what You do. Even if it's been a mask, if that's the way she uses to act for maybe several centuries now, that's what she's gonna be used to (which you can see both here and in her spinoff, by how she reacts to things, and what conclusions she jumps to - that she has to actually force herself out of that, to think things trough)

Yeah, Lucoa's got the curse of being a comedic relief character, fair enough.

You can explain a lot of it with cultural unfamiliarity, though. The Shouta thing is new to her. It's a diversion from her life of... whatever she's been doing since the sister incident. Being a god for a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilization is pretty different than being a familiar for a single modern Japanese boy. So no matter how smart she is, she's going to get social cues wrong and miss things we think are obvious.

Touru's got a bit of a leg up on her since Touru's trying hard to fit into her new role as a maid. I get the impression that Lucoa's just burning time and doesn't take any of the day-to-day stuff all that seriously.

Thanks for the chapter, /a/non.

Just a reminder that Lucoa is by far the strongest, but she's in the neutral faction.

And with reason. Cool-sensei has his misses, but he lands some serious hits sometimes. This is, intended or not, a reflection of reality: you only get to be in the spectator faction if you're powerful enough to avoid taking a side. In reality, saying, "I just want to be left alone" frequently isn't very efficacious--especially given human nature and its potential (if not proclivity) for evil; worse, and because of that nature, it may invite pursuit.

Lucoa is strong enough to make people leave her alone--passively (negating their perception) or actively (by force).

The case is the same in reality: if you want people (who are closer to their human nature, and not elevated from it by moral enlightenment) to leave you alone, they often have to be apprised of there being real consequences for not doing so.

i wonder what lucoa's criteria of things that are not allowed for shouta cause he's "still too young"

If you look closely, you can tell. The majority, as I've said in the past, don't notice because they bear a conditioned hate for gentle (from the eyes to the demeanor) and beautiful girls with large breasts and long hair, but Lucoa's flirtatious actions always stop short of irrevocability: at the end of the day, Shouta can always write her antics off as the perverted actions of a "demon", but Lucoa never does anything beyond that she can't take back--she never actually crosses the line of no return in any way with him.

BTW, Shouta is ten (Lucoa wa Boku no xx ch. 18), and so his behavior is abnormal for his age. It is, however, par for the course when it comes to JP ecchi writing that seeks to emphasize erotic interaction through exaggerated reactions: boys are thinking of getting their hands on boobs at that age, too--it's right before puberty starts. The shyness about it is not abnormal, though; the utter and emphatic rejection of a beauty like Lucoa's as "immoral", on the other hand, is.

Personally, I hope Lucoa remains firmly out of reach for Tohru for a very long time.

She should be at the peak of dragonkind before she starts challenging actual gods.

It should be permanent. Not only is Lucoa a goddess, she's one of the pillars of their world--there'd be no explanation for Tooru's being able to even approach an existence like that. It'd be even worse if Cool-sensei wrote that rugbeater of Tooru's, figuratively, as the source of her power--mundanity over the the ultimate.

In addition, JP authors have an old habit of ensuring that girls like Lucoa (who look and behave as described previously, in the spoiler), whenever they are presented as supreme in some way (doesn't have to be in the context of divinity, it could just be something as simple as looks), are cast down from their superlative seat--shown up in some way or another so as to specifically abase them. If Cool does this to Lucoa through Tooru, it'd be yet another example thereof--and of bad writing.
