That has to be the wildest first few isekai chapters i have seen in my life

This has been awesome so far, a cut above the rest of the isekai slop (my fav genre), but the part where he is this trained assassin killer but also cries like a bitch over things doesn't really fit. Generally, characters like this are depressed, but they're not whiny crybabies, they're just jaded. It's like the author wanted him to have combat experience and the hardass mafia trained sad backstory that will give him a basis to be this capable, proactive isekai protag, but also wanted him to be the typical Japanese herbivore MC at the same time. Kinda hoping his "I will no longer despair" declaration is for real from now on, because the story so far is cool, and the art is really on point.

This really feels like something from the toaru universe with the introduction (excluding the isekai aspect of course). This got the 2015 LN vibes with the trauma and backstory.

This maid weirds me out. She acts like some kind of retired old man who has seen some stuff but dresses in such a flashy and childish manner. She reminds me of those former delinquent characters who try and change their image.
