I feel kind of stupid for coming this far and not realizing many chapters feel like a social commentary on being a teacher
This chapter specifically talking about is it okay to touch your students or show any skinship towards them
Reminds me of the Mimi bra situation again and how close should you be involved with your students
Not exactly sure what the right answer is on this topic specifically
Love and affection is a very important thing to teach that may or may not be present in a students home life
Some kids need affection so to stop hugs and the like seems bad since an easy way to show affection is by skinship
But would Rin's way of showing affection with the hugs/kisses be considered too farnot to mention all her sexual harassment/assault
Is it okay to have more skinship for one gender compared to another
Especially with male teachers basically being singled out from any close contact with female students in fear of any sexual misconduct
This is usually why most elementary teachers tend to be female since it's usually deemed ok for women to touch both genders
But is it fair to single out exclusively men who might like spending time with young children same as women
So many interesting questions and im not sure if this chapter really gave a definitive answer of which is really ok
Sensei stripping a student regardless if they were a boy or a girl is very sus
Really makes you think Shirai sensei was on to something when she said that even if i think she's wrong
Her actions come from an understandable place and i do respect the boundaries she has placed
But man she should show more affection for her students
Knowing the people around you care for you in some way does boost morale in a way
Hard to feel motivated when the people telling you to do stuff don't seem to care for you in the slightest
