I'm so sad. This is just about the worst way to solve that mistery.

He suddenly has a mistery gene that has no cure.
She suddenly is chosen to be a test subject to search about a gifted pair.... what is her gift? Really, I don't know.
Oh, and most of all: she loves him so much she would give her life away for him...
But, she wastes her efforts by not deciding if she gives in to her feelings and let him MAYBE DIE or just pretends she doesn't like him.

Yo, this is such a bad story line. Bad in bad written, as a deus ex-machina desease just happened and a miracle cure was discovered without anybody's knowledge. And bad in a character kind of way as it completely makes me hate her... and her friend too, btw. Not only is she almost letting him die... if her friend really tells him what happened, he really may die. WTF. Both of them are fully wasting her effort away!!

For real... I didn't expect for the perfect excuse... But there were SO MANY ways to make this decent, why do such a contrived way that it is just bad? Urgh... I can't even rant anymore, I'm just mad. At least we got a new view of what could be bad in this sistem... I guess.

@Kiraage tbf the author dug her own grave ages ago by draggin this out she create a huge expectation that she couldn't possibly live up to. That being said, this development is pretty damn stupid. But I fully expected it to be. Now how does she untangle this shit?

yea this makes me sad, i'm not really a fan of this development and agree that the secret should not have been dragged out this long because it really can't live up to the expectations.. otherwise I like misaki fine, and with the way this story is going, definitely feel like it will be misaki and neji together, but i was really hoping for ririna and neji.

I just skim through this. Goverment force her to marry someone else to give Neji a cure that they will eventualy finish devoloping right? So this is force protitute then ? Goverment is a pimp. Goverment can go to some protitute or porn star who want to get big buck and get help to devolopment this cure from them. Instead they choose a kid. Holy hell.

So they somehow removed the lethal gene (god knows how that even work) but it still has a chance to grow its way back to existence out of thin air? Why are we still here......

Whoa.
If you didn’t know what I meant, that makes you ignorant of the state of the world outside Venezuela and other places with shitty regimes that alleged to be socialist.

In most places the right is regressive and oppressive.

So maybe stop getting hung up on semantics. If you’re not Venezuelan, you’re probably a fascist.

...did my comment get deleted for not liking this series or not liking the far right?

Just did a quintuple check.

Guess I have to re-write it:

This series has always been a dystopian nightmare. It’s the logical conclusion of the far right wing in Japan afraid of declining birth rates.
Why? Effects to the economy? Maybe run the economy differently. Fit it to society, not the other way around.
The far right everywhere can gtfo.

This is why you can't let series drag, you run out of ideas. Hopefully they wrap this up soon.

it could have been way more realistic and way more simple if misaki's way of thinking would have just been "well it's a first love, there's no telling if it'll be a forever love and when i see everyone being happy with their notice (and how her parents ended up) i can't really believe in this love even though i do love you right now" i'm not a writer and it would obviously need development but that's a bit more grounded than whatever we have right now. And her being so annoyingly avoidant of confrontation could just have been her being bad at communication. She really doesn't need to be perfectly good.
All her flaws until now are completely ruined. And flaws *make* characters. They're a good thing. But no, now she's just a misunderstood hero that was only selflessly thinking of saving his life. Great. And we have a dumbass reason as to why she can't tell him about it.

The government in this story is fascistic, and in line with the worst members of the Japanese parliament at this moment.
I believe that this is the basis for the entire premise of this manga.
I believe this manga illustrates how awful this viewpoint is.

This comment is on topic.

This is not something worthy of moderation.

It is not a personal attack, hate speech etc.

It is an opinion about how this story relates to real life, as art imitates life and can be an intentional commentary on it. My personal views are inevitably part of such a statement, because that’s an inherent part of what an opinion is.
As such, stating said view and giving an additional example is a reasonable part of a conclusion statement.

I disagree with the far right in general, as it often seeks to dictate the rights and behaviours of individuals. This story is illustrative of an extreme version of one real-life example this, namely some politicians in Japan seeking to increase the birth rate via legislation.
(However, unlike this story, they have generally sought to prevent the advancement of LGBT rights in the name of this. Notable difference)

Also, this series is poorly-constructed and this “diablos ex machina” is lame.

Oy vey.

The personal attack was unnecessary.

That is indeed an example of the other extreme being a problem. In the current global political environment the far right is closer to the problems in this manga, on average.

Your example is an extreme, which is a good thing to discard when calculating such an average. An example of the far right worthy of such is Saudi Arabia, which is also a theocracy which makes it difficult to compare.

Yes, I know I was speaking like damn encyclopaedia.
They were deleting any comments critical of far right extremism, like in this comic.

Figured that would allow me to TALK ABOUT THE CONTEXT OF FICTION.
