This is a nice opening, the art and characters are all fun and interesting. But I cynically can't help but feel like this is a sort of wish fulfillment fantasy for middle-aged losers (I mean, he's 45, single, works as the manager at a family restaurant, he's timid and not particularly handsome, etc.) who want to have a teenage girlfriend. Which is like, icky. Can't you at least fantasize about dating a 20-something year old?
