For real though, if this girl is supposed to be an impetus to help get Akira back into running, it would've been nice if she'd at least confirmed everything properly instead of halfassing the information gathering and being annoying.

I don't understand the timeline in this chapter. Akira met Mizuki back in chapter 40. The first-year girl was surprised to meet Akira at a restaurant. In this chapter we have another meeting, but preceded by a flashback from 1 year ago when Mizuki first saw Akira while running. When the young girl found out she worked there, she immediately ran there. So she knew where Akira worked...
