I still don't think it's romantic yet but it's getting there. He's desperately trying to to understand her and she's just not responding to his (in his eyes) sincere attempts and it's driving him crazy. And people called me a self-inserter when I pointed out that this dude is subconsiously attracted to her.
There is nothing fatherly about their interaction.I still don't think it's romantic yet but it's getting there. He's desperately trying to to understand her and she's just not responding to his (in his eyes) sincere attempts and it's driving him crazy.
I could see a father trying to understand his daughter the same way and it's just not getting through. She's still his job at the end of the day so I do not think it's romantic yet.
Wouldn't use that an example if I were you. But I've seen personal examples of this is why I say this. There is nothing fatherly about their interaction.
When you check out other manga like Usagi Drop that's what a fatherly interaction looks like.
honestly, at this point, it's still not clear what kind of affection he had for her considering how she acts around him which basically manipulating him in a wayThere is nothing fatherly about their interaction.

I wouldn't put too much effort in trying to understanding her line of reasoning. She's quite contradictory. In chapter 9 when she heard about how Ayano went to his place she was somewhat worried but curious at the same time.Makes no sense for her to be gushing about that being a "love letter" from Fumi after she gave a very clear warning to Ayano to not trust him just a few chapters ago. That being a Love Letter should make her feel what Ayano was at a greater "risk" now.
