no it really happened remember he talked to his editor and said he wanted to draw a manga about the relationship between a manga artist and a middle school girl at the end of the manga we are shown that he was finally able to draw a manga and who else would he happily meet at the entrance also we have an extra chapter where she came to him and got a driver's license so it's obviously i think haha
