I wonder if the mangaka will go for the poetic irony of shit going wrong because of Fumi overcorrecting in his relationship with Ayano after what we saw with him and Akari. As in his early mistake was putting too much emotional distance between himself and a woman he probably should’ve been with, as opposed to what he might be doing now which is putting too little distance between himself and a girl even he knows he shouldn’t be getting to close to.
Or hell, one might even say that getting as close to Akari as he did was a mistake to begin with, in which case, this is like the exact same kind of mistake but with far more dire consequences.
