edit: He’s been shown to have been the femme one before his growth spurt, and is growing in confidence. maybe any aspect of his masculinity that’s performative drops away? He’s said that he likes how he presents himself, but also states that it’s in part due to his appearance.
The same goes for Hiura, too, of course, but not quite?

Hiura is no longer so timid and nervous, and becoming ever more independent, emotionally.
