@Smokeball : it IS a slice if life, and slow paced. I am just under 1/3rd of the way through the WN and
he is still only like 5-6 yo.

@Hasshi : the orphanage does not have any, or the funds to pay them. There are adults going to the forest, they are called adventurers.

I mean, if a tiny kid can go there and safely ckme back, I don't see why they could just send an adult who works at the orphanage instead of hiring someone. Or at least send an older kid or groups of older kids. I'm pretty sure MC hasn't sjowed his magic to anyone so why would the orphanage direct let a tiny kid with no way to defend himself - ah yes, she also gave a tiny kid a knife, good idea - into a forest by himself?

@Hasshi : there us no way that the orphanage was not already forcing everyone able to work to do something I support of the orphanage
this includes all kids over 10
. They literally have no one, and the MC can only go there safely because of his cheats.
he has magic to detect threats, the others do not. He has been using magic to enhance his and little sis's development, etc
. Also, a knife is primarily a tool, it is to make harvesting easier since it is harder to rip something off them cut it off with a knife. Every decent outdoorsman carries a knife, there is nothing there to validly question.

@Hell_Satan : MTL only, sorry

I'm more surprised he didn't pick up any poisonous mushrooms, with his "let's grab a bit of everything" mood...

@MasterOfCoin Very. (In response to your second word)

@Hasshi Ever heard of plot armour? Where nothing bad happens until you get too complacent and then on top of that it activates?
"Send the adults! Send the adults!" Where do you see any free adults in the orphanage? All I see is a group of over 10 kids, one caretaker older sister (20-40 years old) and one director granny (60+).

@sjmcc13
Besides Shuu's name and Sakuya's name, etc. Does it ever mention imouto's name?

@Milanin ah yea soz, forgot about plot armor. this is probably a device just to push the plot along, no matter how little sense it makes.

@sjmcc13
Okay, so would u let a 4 year old (i think hes 4) go into a forest alone and with a knife? No matter how shorthanded the orphanage is, since the workers seem nice, that makes absolutely no sense. AT LEAST SEND AN OLDER KID IF U CANT SEND AN ADULT.

"Every decent outdoorsman carries a knife"
Are you forgetting this is a 4 year old kid? (and the grandma does NOT know he was reincarnated and does NOT know about his cheats)

Accept it dude, it makes no sense. It's just for the plot.

@Milanin :
Not in what I have read :(

Also, with regards to poison, he has appraisal magic, and can tell if something is poisonous using it, which is mentioned in the WN (he checks everything before eating it)

@Hasshi :
1) The orphanage is desperate for resources (the funding they receive was enough for the kids when he showed up , but it is like double that # now)

2) because of how he is using his magic his physical abilities are much higher than the other under 10 kids (besides little sis, he has been using the same development boosting magic on her) and everyone 10+ already has a job

3) She does not want him going, and is not really comfortable with it

It is a combination of desperate times plus no good options. The director knows she can not stop him, and knows she needs the extra food

As to the knife, that it is a harvesting tool is EXPLICITLY mentioned in the WN, it is a low grade knife in bad condition and no where near viable to use as a weapon, As long as she feels he is not likely to cut himself with the knife it makes more sense to give him one then not to. It is a tool that is extremely useful for what he is doing. As I said before there is nothing there to question about the knife.

@sjmcc13 Unfortunate that they left the details out of the manga. A lot of what has happened so far in the manga seems more sensible than many other isekai stories.

For point number 1: They're desperate enough to send a four year old kid? AND NOT EVEN ONE OF THE OLDER KIDS??
I've been saying that they could send an older kid if they really have to repeatedly.

For point number 2: THE FUCKING ORPHANAGE DIRECTOR DOESN'T KNOW HE USES MAGIC!!!
It's like my words are falling onto death ears!
And just because the older kids are busy, it doesn't mean that the four year old kid should be sent. If there's kids who are 10+, wouldn't it make much more sense to send one of them??? Even if the 10+ kids are busy, it's not like it'll be IMPOSSIBLE to find one able to go.

For point number 3: Have you ever talked with a four year old kid? And has the kid whined for something or said he/she really wanted to do something? Sometimes you just have to say no, even if the brat doesn't accept it well.
You forget that even though he's been reincarnated, THE ORPHANAGE DIRECTOR DOES NOT KNOW THAT!!!
IF A KID REFUSES TO TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER, IF THE GUARDIAN OF THE KID DISAGREES THE KID'S OPINION DOESN'T MATTER. ESPECIALLY FOR A 4 YEAR OLD ONE.

Blunt weapons are just as dangerous, if not more dangerous to give to children. Because it doesn't cut well if you don't put enough strength into it, meaning that you would need to put MORE strength into it to use it properly. Either way, if it's sharp enough to use as a tool, it's probably not safe to give to a kid. Also, IT MAY HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN THE WN BUT IT WASN'T MENTIONED IN THE MANGA. The only sharp thing that should be given to kids are safety scissors. And those were specially designed for children to use. I doubt that knife was.

You're trying to make reason out of what's happening. In actuality, there is no reason it's just for the plot and to keep the story going along. It makes no actual sense but you're trying to distort it into making sense. Dude, it's a manga adapted from a shitty isekai novel (not sure if it's from the web or the light) and makes little to no sense.
