We're getting so close to the conclusion. The anticipation is palpable. It's insane. I can't believe we are actually getting there
Ending: Sensei marry someone, the wife turns out bad, and he becomes a philosopher :wooow:
“By all means, marry; if you get a good wife, you’ll be happy. If you get a bad one, you’ll become a philosopher.” Socrates

Oh I’m so glad someone bring up the trembling, I’m worried about her failing but it most likely won’t come up again in future chapters based on home many chapters is left. She did the best she thought so she wouldn’t worry sensei in a moment he was the one in panic. Makes me wanna cry 😭 my girl is prob going through it.
It's also shows the gap between the daughter and sense in understanding feelings and ethics. Sensei ofc process and handles it better, in his own way, than the daughter. The daughter shouldn't chase after him or try to be clingy.
I like that sensei has a normal, humble life, it builds his character and stays true to this manga's theme, and the fact Aizawa cheer him up in a more refined manner shows his teaching does make an impact on her life. There is no greater joy for a teacher than to see their students have a better life, part of it thanks to their teaching.

It's so good. I really like how the author highlights the very Japanese art of the unsaid. Must be tough living in a country where most of what you need to understand in a conversation is subtext.

Very subtle or at least people are not talking about it, but when Sensei ask Aizawa how she was doing in college, she starts to tremble, maybe she is not going to college at the moment, and had to lie in order to keep the conversation from derailing

For Takayanagi there was inherent value on keeping Ogura on life support, he has someone to confide with, even without response he still has a father figure to speak his worries to, and share a learning experience with, which is something Ogure said he still was striving to, far from being a curse, it was an answer to the question of "what would the patient have wished to do"

Takayanagi didn't left the room because he didn't want to cry in front of Ogura sensei, he left because he wanted to flee from the confrontation of the daughter suddenly confessing her feelings to him, pages 16 and 17 depict him showing utter fear, while the daughter is panicking out of stress and desperation, Takayanagi is having a visceral reaction out of feeling threatened, he has a very bad history of dealing with women ending infatuated with him, without never really knowing him and then becoming disillusioned with him all on their own, it happened with a lot of his female students, with his ex wife, and now with the daughter of his father figure which makes the situation all the more awkward

As a philosopher and ethics professor, of course Takayanagi doesn't blames nor judges the decisions taken by Ogura's family, he is well aware of all the social, economic, psychological, and physical circumstances that lead to such an outcome

But that doesn't means he is willing to engage with having to deal with the daugther of his mentor telling him that she is in love with him, moments after learning that they have choosen to euthanize his father figure
Amazing analysis! Also, Aizawa doesn't mention college at all, does she? It was just Takayanagi's assumption.
