Yeah I know how you feel, had a fair share of that in my life, but dude, there's an idiom in my language "Każda potwora znajdze swojego amatora.", don't think there's ever a slightly similar one in English, maybe "Every Jack has his Jill" or "There's a lid for every pot." then there's "There's a nut for every bolt." but it doesn't convey the meaning very well, literal translation is "Every monster will find it's lover/admirer"... so even if you might look like being hit by an ugly tree, what's more important is who YOU are.
