Look, no one's trying to force you to laugh at something you don't find funny. There are always jokes that don't work for everyone. Some people hate dark humor or insult comedians, other people don't. There are also times, even in a comedy, where something isn't really supposed to be particularly funny to begin with. Look at Dragon Ball, comedy was a huge driving force for the series but it's not like you were supposed to laugh out loud during scenes like Bora getting murdered.

As you can see here, the author revised how to draw and write their manga. None of this is funny. I love dark comedy but this is too realistic. Kidnapping and possible murder. Throw that bitch in the loony bin.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I would have at least spent several hours forcing my way out of those ropes (I do carry things with me on a daily basis that could, with a little effort, cut through ropes)... and assuming I actually got free the next step would be to burn her fucking house down.
