@Pirangunter21 the basic principle is the same but the voltage and ac frequency varies between countries and the electronic device’s power supply must be able to account for that difference. If it cant then the magic smoke comes out
@Isshiki_Kotonashi Yes, but generally Japanese and US electronics will work in each others region and, ~115V 60Hz for US and ~100V 60Hz for Japan. The 60hz is also why Japanese consoles work on US TVs and vise versa (both use NTSC color encoding).
