I read that as 'kamiyama' and was like, huh guess this is the story of chitanda's uncle

I mean it's better than most of the romcom out there but I still wish they didn't go into tropes so much...
First few chapters are a bit off-putting but it turns wholesome.
Tropes:
- MMC gets teased all of the time for being mediocre but tolerates being messed around with --> Useless but kind guy stereotype (with some depth since he has good observation skills) + the butt of the joke 90% of the time.
- MMC tries to help FMC with family situation, at the end all he hears "it's none of your business" as feedback --> Tsundere + mature reaction from MMC knowing that he may be overstepping boundaries with family stuff.
- MMC gets insulted by random girl (Sora), softly stands up for himself and gets put down FMC. Later apologizes for messing the mood --> Again kind guy stereotype. At least FMC could stand up a bit for him, no? Also shitty apology from her and none from Sora. Decent first solo conversation with Sora though but no apology.
- MMC a 'mob character' complex which FMC reinforces but still likes her and wants her approval --> I don't even know what to call this trope but this is common...
MC's:
MMC - Kind towards others; 'mob character' complex; mediocre in activities he has engaged with so far; good observation skills (when it comes to others) and also at resolving conflicts due to that.
FMC - Kind girl; tends to put stuff in her shoulders; soft tsundere when MC helps her and sees sides others don't; competitive
Why I don't like the tropes above:
Realism - I don't know how I would like someone in this situation? When I'm with "the boys" and we just joking around and insulting each other, it's just banter. We don't dig into each other's wounds and when we do it's because we see our boy going down and try to help. Boundaries man... From an love interest that kind of stuff would hurt x100
Why I still read this:
The trope may be but it's not to the extreme. Author also engages with the tropes in a rather refreshing, it blends into something more coherent with actual human emotions and reactions. MMC may have the complex but he stands up a bit for himself and doesn't care too much if others see him as lame, only if FMC sees him like that. FMC is NOT a psycho sadist that wants to degrade MMC and get whatever she wants (I know the bar is low but yeah this is common...). FMC has cute personality, side characters are also decent.
