Well, that happened. While the details themselves aren't surprising, the "jump off a cliff" way of getting it out there leaves much to be desired. It's always been a bit cliche and I admit to being curious as to how it would be handled, and my answer is "poorly". I suppose I'll see if the author untangles this train wreck successfully or not; as at this point the theme is unclear, romance, redemption, mental illness?

Don't know which chapter it was, but the "twist" was revealed back when his childhood friend explained that the girl's parents killed his (looked it up, was at ch 2), and iirc there was some flashback about them suiciding (finally found it. it was in ch1). This is just when it was finally revealed to mc too.
