@Talismaster: Chapter 7. Komiya was at the mall with Kasane, and got approached by security over concerns about a man accompanying a child.

His friend Tsugumi happened to be passing by and greeted Kasane, but claimed that Komiya wasn't Kasane's guardian but in fact a total stranger, so he was detained by security.

Needless to say, people reacted negatively.

It's a shame. This was a really cute manga.

I can understand avoiding something associated with your feelings getting hurt -- it's completely human. But "I screwed up and people got upset, so I'll take my ball and go home" is not a good look for someone who wants to build a fanbase.

I still don't get why people got so mad about that whole mall thing. It was stupid and that girl was a total bitch but it's hardly something to get so angry about, and this is coming from someone whose comments here are 99% angry rants.

It got dropped just because of that one chapter? wtf I get people would be upset but the Arthur could always correct that mistake through future chapters and the fans would've forgiven him after that.

@Acolytus Yup. I knew "blowing things completely out of proportion" had replaced baseball as America's national pastime, but I didn't realize the same was true for Japan (both the author and the fans).

The mall chapter was annoying, but hardly anything that should cause the cancellation of the whole series. Maybe the author lost faith in his own work as a result of it. Then it couldn't be helped.

I always thought this series had some comedic undertones, ESPECIALLY after the yandere childhood friend showed up, so I didn't think twice about he 'mall incident.' It really got this canceled? Sad...

And seriously, I can find you a dozen people that would do the exact same mean thing or even worse, no need to get so worked up on a chapter that can depict a bit of ~reality~ lol
Too bad that it got such an over reaction, I took it more like a funny sadistic twist if anything else.

damn, i really like this series though
