Literally same! I'm 5 chapters in, He walks up to the fish And demands he be allowed to have it over and over again, At this point he has powerful magic, so when he sees the little girl and guy outnumbered by the giant bear monsters, And doesn't just save them but has to be paid. It's douche bag behavior. Like I get that that's his personality he's cold he's aloof But he's way too self-interested To an asshole-level. It just makes me dislike him, And from what I can tell The manga introduces amazing female characters, from what everyone is saying. It's 120 chapters long even! But his current personality just makes me wanna drop it And rate it 4 out of 10

Mind you, That was the second time in 5 chapters he would have let a young girl be killed simply because it wasn't his problem. If someone else hadn't offered payment. If he grows a heart and gets better over time Then it would be worth reading but I bet his personality stays the same throughout.

MC is just flatout insufferable. Despite of any character growth, he's still a major wanker. If you can get pass that part, the story and world building is decent.
