It's like Zeno's Paradox... If this turned into a series, it would go on and on, getting closer, then something comes up, then getting closer, then something comes up, then the series would be dropped with them never getting anywhere.

So, instead author just skips the whole serialization nonsense, we get the conclusion that we wanted, and finis, done.
