1) He likely doesn't think anything romantic or even friendly about it, just thinks like, "she should go to a proper arts school" or whatever... But the possibly-p at the end there is still sweet. Usami was a living girl here, instead of some sex object like she sometimes is in this series. ^^;
2) The high school girl's love of Subaru's sister is /extremely/ cute to me. x3
3) The uniforms just look comfortable and easy to draw to me, I'd call that a win. xD In high school, I bet most girls would prefer something like that to miniskirts.

Omg you noticed that too! I can't tell if it's me being delusional but every single time I go back and re-read I can't help but compare his drawings to Usami's appearance... Like, you can't convince me there wasn't at least some influence. I'm going to take all the crumbs I can get.
