i can see your arguments is true for the most part on like many mangas out there, but at least for this one the tag kinda helps in someway? i for one never thought that the mangaka is the kind to double down and make the weirdest scenario possible, and never ever in my mind imagining that MC will crossdress when i read it from the start (not until the part around when imari shows up at least...)

I have watched the anime and then read the manga, and I will really say that the story is really good! There may be some people who think that it's 80+ chapters but, nothing serious happened between Uchimaki and Usami! but that's wrong! if you look at the start Uchimaki was only interested in 2d drawings and Usami interested in Uchimaki, but until Vol 6 we get to know well about them and the other characters!
After that when they came to reclaim Uchimaki's drawing book from the staff office, at the last Usmai told Uchimaki that she loves Uchimaki...
...
...
Uchimaki's Drawings! But, only which are realistic! Then on the last page we can see Uchimaki drawing flowers that are also captioned by the author that it's a small step for Uchimaki but, big for the story! Then When Usami visited Uchimaki's house, he saw Usami half-naked
after that day he started drawing realistic figures! So, isn't he changing bit by bit! I can surely tell that someday he will turn to Usami also and I'll be waiting for it! I don't know but, I really like this story a looot!

@Rapchik I want to say if it take over 80 episodes for the guy to merely not just be interested in 2D girl is wayyyy to slow.

Romance tend to start with, person likes crush -> crush start to like the person as well -> awkward relationship -> unable to express feeling -> big event -> relationship start to happen -> near happy ending -> gg

If it barely cross the second line at episode 80, then wouldn’t it take 250+ to even get near the “big event”?

That's what's called a story! You think if we suddenly become interested in 3D girls that will against his character. Even if he is changed now, he needs more time to show. If it ends like that the way we want that's finished. But, if it continues then we will get more chapters, I hope you understand. It's better to wait than an end.​
